Born in 1980 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Currently lives in Queens, New York.

Micah Ganske has developed a unique process in which he dilutes acrylic paints to function as a stain on untreated Muslin. Due to the sensitivity of the surface, there is no room for error. His compositions are meticulously planned using drawings and Photoshop before he begins a painting which often involves six months of working continuously in the studio, and sometimes longer. The result is incredibly detailed paintings with a smooth texture that appear almost digital. His urban gaze points to a hyper-real experience of landscapes and figures carved out of intricate lines and rich colors.
Micah Ganske received his MFA in painting from the Yale School of Art. He was the recipient of the Adobe Design Award in Digital Photography for a work that was then displayed at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. In October 2007 Deitch Projects exhibited his first solo exhibition. Ganske was represented by Deitch Projects until their closing in 2010.
