Excerpts of Parastou Forouhar from Pearls on the Ocean Floor
PEARLS ON THE OCEAN FLOOR is Robert Adanto's second documentary film exploring the lives of contemporary artists. Produced by Robert Adanto, Rebecca Heidenberg, and Micah Levin, the documentary film captures a glimpse of the lives and works of Iranian female artists and features Shirin Neshat, Parastou Forouhar, and Layla S. Diba among others. The film premiered in Los Angeles at LACMA and is slated to screen at The Smithsonian as well as the Boston MFA in 2011. RH Gallery is proud to host the premiere of PEARLS ON THE OCEAN FLOOR on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 7pm followed by a panel discussion at 8:15pm with Robert Adanto, Dr. Robert C. Morgan, Maryam Eisler, and Sara Rahbar.
